Square + Fair was created from a simple frustration. It felt impossible to find a place where you could get an exceptional lunch and an equally exceptional coffee at the same time. You were always compromising one for the other and it never made sense to us. We set out to build a sandwich bar and coffee shop that refused to choose between the two. Quality food and quality coffee, delivered with the same care and the same pride.
We wanted environments that felt tailored and intentional, spaces that were both functional and aesthetically striking. A little bold, a little playful, filled with hip hop and good energy, designed for people who appreciate flavour, atmosphere and detail. Square + Fair is the result of that vision, a place where nothing is an afterthought and everything is created to be enjoyed properly.
Our Team.
Our senior team is built around people who are obsessive about coffee, passionate about food, devoted sandwich lovers and completely committed to matcha. These are the ingredients it takes to thrive at Square + Fair.
We have a leadership group that works seamlessly together, shares the same values and fully understands the atmosphere and identity we want to create.
Nick leads the team with the vision for the brand.
Coco (Chief Puppy Officer is the official snack taster, loves the off cuts of our focaccia and obsessed with the meat sandwich line.)
Nick a chef himself for over 25 years, sets the tone, shapes the strategy for growth across the UK and works with David and Alister to develop the menus they then bring to life.
Matt oversees the day to day operations of our stores and works closely with his teams, focusing on training, standards and shaping the guest experience.
David runs our production kitchen alongside Alister, ensuring everything is delivered efficiently, safely and always in line with our creative direction.
Julie takes care of all things financial, from managing budgets to keeping our suppliers paid and happy.
And Mike Roberts leads one of our stores with the same energy and attention that defines the whole team.
Together they form the backbone of Square + Fair and help bring the brand to life every day.
